A KSG Self Affirmation

It took me many painful years to accept myself as a KSG. Yes, I know it sounds rather pathetic and unbelievable. But it's true.

No doubt that it is the opposite of the more common lamentations of "I'm Not Good Enough." However, let me assure you that as shocking as it might seem, I have plenty of company on this side of my pasture.

My KSG journey began in my teenage years. Young, naive and full of insecurities about myself. I began to notice stares. Particularly from the opposite sex. I couldn't understand and there was no one available to shed light to my confusion.

You might doubt it but I had serious self esteem issues as a young girl. It was not entirely a picture perfect kind of family I had. Well, let's just say every family has its own dirty laundry. It made me grow up all closed up.

I recall my deep annoyance and anger every time I got these lingering glances from strange men. My then boyfriend always laughed whenever I say I would relish digging out those lusty eyeballs with a spoon. Yes, that was the extent of my anguish.

Years of modeling and dancing has thankfully returned me my self confidence. And equally important, the acceptance that these stares will be here to stay. And I began to enjoy that power I possessed. From being a woman. And being a confidence woman.

It is intoxicating. Like an extremely potent secret. You learn to ignore it when it served no useful purpose. Use it to your advantage when it's required to achieve a certain outcome. And to be discerning enough to know when to tune it down and when to go town with it.

Only after I have learnt to manage my KSG destiny, did I had the right frame of mind to look around and realise that many women out there would give an arm to have my sort of challenges! With a gift comes responsibility.

So now, I have a fervent wish to develop programs that can help women out there to enjoy the sort of challenges that tortured the 17 years old me! :)

Life was never meant to be challenge free,
and I wouldn't want that for you.

Guess the punishment? You get a free hair shave. Isn't that just so fun! As for the women? You will be punished if you wear make up or if you are not dressed "properly". Such is the power of flirting. How he fears the instruments of the art too.

I remember a time not too long ago when I would give the term "siren" a bad connotation. Thank God time and education has reversed it all for me. Now I am starting to appreciate the word, its history and what a privilege indeed if someone calls you a siren!

This of which I am certain that Mr Odysseus would have agreed after his enchanting encounter with the mythical Sirens of the sea.

To me, being a siren in modern day equates to being an attractive lady with a charming personality surrounded by a most mysterious and alluring aura.

Aura of such nature will have to come from within, a love for yourself that oozes out in an irresistible manner. We all have that precious quality within us. And I hope with all my heart you are hard at work honing it! :)

I came across this very interesting article when I was researching for KSG. I completely agree with what Ms Hanna has commented. We lived in a world where we often never questioned the general "truths".

One very convenient assumption we have is that strippers are good for nothings. They are always up to no good. And everything else along those lines. I may not know a lot of strippers but I have heard so many stories of "strippers made good."

You will be surprised at how focused some strippers can be. They are clear of their objectives and motives for being a stripper and they accomplished their goals with astonishing results without harming or hurting anyone. I had a very interesting conversation with a guy friend last evening. He is a mutual friend whom I have met a couple of times. Just for fun and to ensure my men observation skills are still up to standard (yes, I admit I'm a workaholic), I decided to put myself to the test.

Everything that I deduced about him was accurate and he was smiling at my assessment. He is this rather attractive, tall and lanky guy. Always well dressed, says the right things AND keeps a distance.

Apparently it is because he is clearly aware that he is an ideal Mr In Between. However, knowing how most women are always looking for "the one" which is not something that he will be looking at in the near future, he decided that a cool exterior will be the safest way to avoid misunderstandings.

To me, I think it is a very considerate act from a man. This protects women who might be interested in him and is seeing him as a potential "the one".

From a man's point of view, you can see how this is actually to his disadvantage. Because he takes an upfront and honest approach, and not all women would be able to stomach such "in between" relationships, he has drastically decreased the pool of available women.

Still, I feel comforted that there still men who are aware that what they want which might not coincide with what most women want. And hence, they take a sensible approach to the situation while willingly accept the shortfall and disadvantages to the approach.

Kudos to men of such virtue..
